However, we were unable to locate the source of this information. It isn’t always a terrible thing because the models include almost all of the books and the internet ever published. When we consulted professionals, they pointed out the identical details and even inquired as to where we had discovered them. The AI created or extended facts to make brown dwarfs more fascinating than they actually are in order to achieve its goal of making us happy.
Similar to a poor journalist fabricating information to fit a narrative or make a story strike harder. We read the entirety of the presumably more reliable sites the AI had provided us with since we were curious to learn more. One was written by a human journalist for a news website—or was it? It read like what you would get if a human slightly altered AI phrasing, and it had a very familiar structure that was undoubtedly completely accidental. It makes sense because there were already well over 1200 verified AI news websites in 2025 that were disseminating a significant amount of misleading narratives and misinformation produced by AI.
